David Baum sets ‘Battling Ropes’ record and raises money for Charity – see the action on youTube

On Sunday 15 February, David Baum, founder of Deanem, created a little bit of history by being the first person ever to complete a 70 minute session using Battling Ropes. Steve Harris of 24-7promo.co.uk recorded the event – the 5 minute version can now be viewed on youTube by following this link: http://youtu.be/eFc35vi4btc.

David has taken the opportunity of the Battling Ropes Challenge to raise money for 3 Charities: Great Ormond St, the MS Society and Cancer Research. Donations through my virginmoneygiving.com/DavidBaum and GoFundMe pages as well as cash donations have so far raised £2,800.00. While this is slightly less than David’s target of £5,000.00 he is immensely grateful for every penny & pound donated and a special thank you must go to Mrs Sandra Field and her Those In Need committee who donated an amazing £400.00

David says: ‘While I have publicly thanked the sponsors on film, I would still like to thank them once again for their kind assistance. They are Victoria, Neal and the team at NRG for the encouragement they gave me, Ollie and Becky Hill for training me. Steve Harris for the filming, Stuart Fisher of Re-cognition Express for providing the Tee Shirts, Lorraine Sarsby of Bushey Promotions for the drinking bottles, Robert Segal for providing the banner so we could time the event, Annick Devillard of the Rooster for her assistance. I must not forget the three people who helped inspire me Mel, my amazing wife and business partner, Philip and Ollie each has had to face life changing and threatening episodes and come through them never once blaming anyone for what had happened.’
